POETIC WORKS… plain and simple. There’s much to speak concerning the years gone by (a decade +), and with nothing but perishable possessions to my name, my darn near wheat-penniless pocketbook became filled with a hard promise. “There shall be RAIN.” Through undeniable storms, I live on life, as each time words are clearly spoken; they are evidently built upon a variety of agendas. This is a look inside of my head, especially focused on the block of time between two thousand and nine thru two thousand and nineteen, with a break in these clouds (Ohio’s PubliCity of Akron, 2011 Lawsuit) being painfully and shockingly heartbreaking… (the previous statement was pre-removal from Biruta Street: which occurred on May 6, 2019)! Though, as of October 2019 an art therapy poem of mine has been published in the Newsletter: “LIFE CHAT” a publication of The Recovery Advisory Council and The Integrated Care Clinic (Issue 11) Community Support Services.
“Blueberry footprints” by Marla LeNeo
This is for blueberry footprints,
ever since I was younger collecting hints…
the importance of motherhood
by my heart has been understood.
This is for the mixing bowl,
for blending ingredients filled with soul.
Grade “A” eggs and the finest of flour,
all of the love and kindness for hours.
To value each second of time
spent with this reason and rhyme.
Giving our long days a treat
and laughing about those sticky feet,
with no place to go besides thankfulness,
to receive the grace for the best.
Like miracles in mysterious ways,
as though dreams and wishes shout hurray!
Fix the recipe careful for us
for we prefer a very perfect crust,
and this is for eating pie “a la mode,”
in our humble lil’ abode.
“Blueberry footprints” are among my favorite thoughts. It is the thought of having happy times as a wife and a mother. I have never been either. Thinking of moments like these gives me a reason to wake up each morning and reach for a future brighter than my past. Even if it never happens for me, there are still things in this life that I have never tried. I might make a few footprints of my own with some people stomping on grapes for the wine, just to dance about it all.
correction: I wrote “mixing” bowl not “missing” bowl which was the Newsletter’s misprint that I asked to be corrected and received a few corrected copies and in email
See above highlighted title link leading to the Newsletter posting from October 22, 2019

Note: The Newsletter has a misprint, having “missing” instead of “mixing” in many copies.
“Well, after the past decade has almost certainly revealed, major changes for me are continuing to go at a snail’s pace. In the meantime, my publishing plans are encouraging. Though financing appears unstable, the fact that I have survived at all is of course why there’s no giving up on this. It was the ‘Golden Rule’ that rejuvenated poetry writing for me ten years ago, but after the years began to unfold it became a dream to tell my whole story in Copyright. That’s the goal still on target!”

“Closer to the earth I can smell the green / in the grass and trees. Apples, pears, nuts and a peach / falling to the ground in wait for the hungry to reach. / In the misty mornings little bunny rabbit tails hop about / like cotton balls leading my eyes to a house away / where the horses are at play.”
